The CanARM Rainwater Harvesting Certification Training has two main training streams, they include:

Choose either:

  • Designer Certification

  • Installer Certification


    If you want to have both Designer and Installer, you can take additional courses after you completed one certification.


    PART 1: Education

    • 12 models (10 hours) of detailed industry-leading training on Canadian Rainwater Harvesting Systems

    • License copy of CSA standard, which will be referenced in the 2020 National Building Code

    • All resources, workbook, and practice exercises needed to prepare you to take the certification

    • Rainwater Associate Exam registration fee  

    • 1 year CanARM membership (valued at $75)*


    PART 2: Practical

    • Submit either 3 designs or 3 installation reports depending on the certification you are obtaining.

    • Rainwater Professional Certification


    * If you are already a CanARM member, the fee included in the Certification Series Membership will automatically renew your CanARM membership for an additional year when your current membership expires.





    Second Stream Certification Once you have successful completed one of the two main steams either design or installer you are eligible for a second certification. 


    PART 1: Education

    • Additional required webinars of detailed industry-leading training on Canadian Rainwater Harvesting Systems

    • All resources, workbook, and practice exercises needed to prepare you to take the certification

    • Rainwater Associate Exam registration fee  


    PART 2: Practical

    • Submit either 3 designs or 3 installation reports depending on the certification you are obtaining.

    • Rainwater Professional Certification in a second stream


    Advance Certification - Once you have successfully completed both the design and installer streams you are eligible for advance certification. 

    • Manager / Inspector 


    PART 1: Education

    • Additional required webinars of detailed industry-leading training on Canadian Rainwater Harvesting Systems

    • All resources, workbook, and practice exercises needed to prepare you to take the certification

    • Rainwater Advance Exam registration fee  


    PART 2: Practical

    • Submit 1 report providing a detailed review of a existing rainwater harvesting system. 

    • Rainwater Professional Advance Certification
